Tuesday, Oct. 26th, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm with Lisa Stockwell M.Ed., Story Teller and Creative Expression Facilitator

Creating mandalas is a way of awakening the creativity that lives within the soul. Through the process, working with the form and flow of mandalas can diffuse anxiety and stress, while sparking pure fun!

Mandala making can be found in most cultures throughout time and across the world.  Originating in ancient Asian religions, mandala is a Sanskrit word that translates into ‘whole universe’ or ‘sacred circle’. The mandala itself  is a pattern of concentric circles and can be used as an aid in meditation.  Within this frame, the circles can represent wholeness, harmony, life cycles and/or interconnection as they bring out our joy in self-expression.

No art experience is necessary…(seriously, we mean it.)

Over the course of the evening, you will be guided  step-by-step to create your personal mandala either freehand or with tools.

• Pens or sharpie, different color markers, crayons, or highlighters

• A ruler or straight edge (optional)

• Circular object that you can trace, like masking tape, coaster, small tape, jar, plate (optional)

• Eraser (optional)
